		<description>That is a common theory. 
Since it hasn&#039;t been around that long, we don&#039;t really know what age and environment will do to it. Lightning? Paint fumes? Paint? Coat hangers? Hanging bikes? Long scraps of wood? These are only some of the things we&#039;ve found being supported by basment piping. 
We do know that there are steel gas pipes that are close to 100 years old that are still functioning!!! And hundreds of thousands of younger steel gas pipes that function with no problems.</description>
